FocusLine is a system for automatic focus adjustment on laser machines. The central component is the autofocus mirror, the surface of which is selectively shaped by means of coolant pressure. This changes the divergence angle of the laser beam in such a way that the focus can be moved upward or downward.
Advantages:
- It is no longer necessary to manually set the focus position within the automatic adjustment ranges possible with FocusLine.
- The focus position specified in the technology table is set automatically, this at the same time virtually rules out operating mistakes.
- The focus is automatically adjusted to suit the type and thickness of material being worked.
- The focus position can be automatically varied while a program is being run, thereby enabling process optimization.
- The focus position remains virtually constant across the entire work area – regardless of the beam length.
