C-shaped machine frame

The frame of a TRUMPF punching and combination machine consists of a C-shaped, torsion-resistant weldment. Its high rigidity has a direct impact on the accuracy of the workpiece. Any shearing forces that arise are compensated for.

The rigid machine frame makes for a much longer tool life. Wear on the tool is reduced only if the punch enters the die exactly and perpendicularly.

Optimum access to the punching machine

Unlike O-frames, the open C frame of TRUMPF punching machines provides for optimum and direct access from three sides. The open C frame concept also lends itself ideally to automation options.
