„The EuroBLECH 2008 has completely met all our expectations. And yes, the show went far better than we had originally predicted given the backdrop of the recent difficult global economic situation” stated TRUMPF manager, Dr Mathias Kammüller, following the world’s leading trade show for sheet metal processing. During the five exhibition days from October 21 to 25, TRUMPF sold more than 190 machines and lasers with an overall value of approximately 60 million Euro – nearly breaking its own EuroBLECH sales record of the 2006 boom year. About two thirds of all orders came from outside of Germany.
Nearly 70,000 visitors from all over the world came to EuroBLECH. At its booth in Hall 11, TRUMPF welcomed 28 large foreign delegations. All in all, 65 percent of the visitors to the TRUMPF booth were from Germany, followed by visitors from Switzerland, the Netherlands, Austria, Italy and Poland respectively. This corresponds to a survey conducted by the trade show organizer Mack Brooks Exhibitions Ltd. Nearly 45 percent of all exhibitors and about 35 percent of all visitors did not come from Germany. The EU member states and Switzerland thereby represented the largest percentage. The number of visitors from Turkey and North America increased above average as well.
At the TRUMPF booth, the combination punch-laser machines were exceptionally well received. This product line was recently expanded with a completely new series of high end machines (TruMatic 7000), just in time for the EuroBLECH. The systems for 3D laser processing were also popular. In this product segment, the TruLaser Cell 7040 and the TruLaser Robot 5020 demonstrated decisive increases in performance for the trade show. The new small bending machines of the TruBend Series 7000 were also well received – having already been awarded the title of “the world’s fastest bending machines” due to their speed and certified overall ergonomic concept
The solid-state laser machine TruLaser 7040 was another technical highlight of the well attended TRUMPF booth. The TruLaser 7040 can divide its 6 kW of laser power between two cutting heads due to a new beam splitter. A cross beam made of light carbon fiber material combined with consistently improved axis drives make the TruLaser 7040 the most productive laser cutting machine ever sold. Therefore, it is a well-deserved winner of the “MM-Euroblech Award” in the category of cutting technology. A large crowd also gathered at the TRUMPF booth to witness the new TruMatic 7000 and TruPunch 5000, both equipped with a new active die for scratch-free punching and forming.
