2.14 billion Euros in sales, nearly 700 new jobs in Germany and abroad, innovation campaign with new products
The TRUMPF group closed the 2007/2008 fiscal year with new record numbers. The technology company recorded an 11 percent rise in sales to 2.14 billion Euros. At the same time, income before taxes increased to 301 million Euros.
British fibre laser specialist to complement TRUMPF’s laser portfolio
Machine tool and laser manufacturer TRUMPF has announced it has assumed control of British company SPI Lasers effective October 7 2008. The bid submitted by TRUMPF became effective after shareholders of SPI Lasers approved the sale of more than 90 percent of the company’s shares to TRUMPF.
Corporate group announces preliminary figures
The TRUMPF Group once again achieved considerable sales growth in the 2007/2008 fiscal year. Compared to previous year, the company’s sales increased by about 10 percent to approximately 2.14 billion Euros or $3.15 billion US-Dollar based on preliminary figures.
A new laser building built on the campus of Farmington-based TRUMPF Inc. is a reminder of the strength of Connecticut’s high-tech manufacturing sector. Today, the company celebrates the grand opening of the Laser Innovation & Technical Excellence (LITE) Building, a new research and manufacturing facility that will be used to develop new lasers, expand the company’s production of laser resonators, and maintain their leadership in state of the art laser technology.
