| The number of employees has also risen, a necessary adjustment to corporate growth. Including all consolidated companies, the TRUMPF Group employed 7,955 people on June 30, 2008 (previous year 7,258 employees). This corresponds to an addition of 697 employees and an increase of 9.6 percent. With the non-consolidated companies, the TRUMPF Group had a workforce totaling 8,051 people (previous year 7,336 employees).
In Germany, the company created 291 new jobs. The number of employees rose by 6.8 percent to 4,571 (previous year 4,280 employees). Due to expanded activities outside of Germany, the number of new jobs established abroad also rose considerably to 3,384 (previous year 2,978 employees), or by 14 percent. These new positions were developed primarily in Asia and Eastern Europe. |
